My Tummy Hurts....

Today started off well, I got to sleep in until 6:00 AM.

The boys had their dentist appointments today. We walked in and within minutes we were called back. Both boys jumped right up to have their teeth cleaned, checked and x-rayed this was all done within 20 minutes. Then we had to wait 30 minutes for the Dr to come and make her check. Kai and Owen could not stay still at all, after awhile I quit trying to keep them still. Mena did pretty good sitting in the stroller she only made a mess of the floor with Ritzs crackers. Of course her check lasted all about two minutes because there were 3 other kids waiting for her. Thank God they don't have my teeth and take after Bryan. No cavities and no issues.

Then it was off to CiCi's to meet Daddy and have lunch. Amazingly Owen ate 2 1/2 pieces of pizza without ever being asked to eat. Then he had two brownies and 1/2 slice of apple pizza. Can you see where this is headed? I didn't.

After lunch we headed home and I did my usually trying to get all the kids down for either a nap or rest. 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Kai drew big rigs, while I watched Y&R that I DVR. Then Owen came down after a two hour nap. As usually he says my tummy hurts. This usually means I am hungry and I want a snack. After about a 45 minutes of him saying my tummy hurts he stands up and proceeds to throw up all over the carpet. Kai starts to gag like he is going to throw up so I send him out of the room and take Owen to the bathroom. I call Bryan to find out when he is going to be home and tell him what happend. I usually can not stand the site or smell of puke, but I was able to get the carpet cleaner out and clean it all up. I was very proud of myself, but don't want to ever have to do that again. I guess one time in 5 years is not to bad. (That is me being alone when one of the kids threw up) BTW Owen felt perfectly fine after all of that.

Tomorrow is a new day.

If it is not a bruise it is somehthing else

Well Mena will be 1 next Thursday, I am trying to figure out when to do pictures . Mena has been walking and falling on everything. She currently has two black and blue marks and a scratch on her face. One bruise is from trying to climb into the tub for a toy and landing on that toy, the other is from her flopping around on the ground and hitting her cheek off the changing table. Of course the scratch is from her nails that she does not like to cut.

Yesterday we added a rash that covers her head, neck chest and back. I took her to the doctor today to confirm what I figure was Roseola. I really wanted to make sure she did not have an ear infection too. Which she didn't. She had a fever over the past weekend only up to 102.1 so not to bad, but if she woke up in the middle of the night there was nothing that would console her. (Hence her flopping around on the floor and getting a bruise.) So the Dr said the rash is the infection leaving the body and it should last about three days. Lets hope so she can be happy for her birthday and enjoy some cake.

Oh hey Mom if you are reading this you can post a comment, just look at the bottom of the post and click where is says comment. OR just call me if you need help.

Preschool begins!!!

So this past Tuesday the 8th both Kai and Owen went off to Preschool. This is Kai's second year and Owen's first.

Kai was excited to get back, I think I was boring him at home. He walked right in class, found his seat and got to work.

Owen seemed to have no problem going, I think having Kai just down the hall helped. The first day he had no hesitation about going, went in and got playing. When I picked him up he wasn't even excited that I was there to pick him up. He also eat all of his lunch. This was a suprise to me, because he not only takes forever to eat at home (if at all) but he asked for a peanut butter sandwich which he has not eaten one of them for about 6 months. I was soo proud of him and he was happy he made me proud. The second day he was a little hesitant when we walked in he just stood there. I took him over to the toys and he started to play. This day he eat most of his lunch. Thursday a girl I know was a sub in his class and she told me that Owen was crying when she came in. I asked him about it and he said he was sad when I left. I reminded him that he was only staying there a few hours, Kai was right down the hall and I was always going to be there to pick him up. This day he only had a bite of his sandwich, he said "My teacher said I don't have time to eat, but I did see Kai playing outside the lunch room." So I am guessing he was a little preoccupied by watching his big brother play than eating. I am sure he will get better as time goes on.

My First... What have I gotten myself into??

Well my time has come, I have entered into the blog phase. Why did it take so long, you ask. Well, we finally got ourselves a computer and DSL. Before I would use Bryan's computer from work and we had dial-up. So it was impossible to do usless I totally wanted to be on the computer all night.

Now, friends and family can see what us NC Holbys have been up to. Please check back soon to see more on Life... As it is now.
